The Economic chamber
Includes organisations with a commercial interest in responsible forestry. Certification bodies, industry and trade associations (whether profit or non-profit), wholesalers, retailers, traders, and consulting companies with demonstrated support of the FSC Principles and Criteria are all potential members of the Economic Chamber.

Applicants with economic interest must have demonstrated active commitment to implementing the FSC Principles and Criteria in their operations. It is expected that:
The Environmental chamber
Includes non-profit, non-governmental organisations, as well as research, academic, technical institutions that have an active interest in environmentally viable forest stewardship.

The Social chamber
Includes non-profit, non-governmental organisations, as well as research, academic, technical institutions that have a demonstrated commitment to socially beneficial forestry. Organisations in this chamber support forest management and believe in delivering forest products to the market in such a way that does not infringe on the rights of other stakeholders.
